Synergy - It’s teamwork, open-mindedness, and the excitement of finding new solutions to old problems. It emerges from the willingness of two or more individuals to seek an alternative solution that’s better than any one of them could have achieved single-handedly. To use a biblical quote: "Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor...a cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart".
LandMarker Geospatial is our team’s quest to create those new solutions. A few years ago, Joe and I realized the compatibility in our methods of doing business. While we each could have successfully done it alone, we knew that our "synergistic" enthusiasm for surveying and technology would yield great results, not only for ourselves but also for our clients. With that in mind we have sought staff with a similar passion for innovation.
In my over 25 years of surveying, I have been witness to the rapid development of technology and its affects on the surveying industry. While many in this industry would balk at the up-front costs and changing "the way we have always done it", I have taken pride in implementing (both in my own business and for other surveyors who wanted to "learn to do that too") the new concepts and technologies that improve workflow and productivity, and ultimately bring with them improved profitability.
But now, these advances should no longer only affect our efficiency and capability, but also that of our clients. This has never been more evident than with the advent of Machine Automation and Control. That is why we saw LandMarker Geospatial as our innovative solution for allowing our clients to more quickly and effectively implement the latest technology to reap the benefits and the profits sooner.

When Tom and I met, we recognized in each other the ability to determine new trends in the surveying field and comprehend their affects on the various industries we support. LandMarker Geospatial was created to provide these services as quickly and cost-effectively to our clients as possible. Machine control was a natural first step. Although it was offered by various manufacturers, many clients did not have the in-house capabilities to implement and maintain these systems. We do.
As a civil engineer and surveyor with 20 years’ experience, I have always been proud to provide new and exciting technologies that will make my clients’ lives easier. I have been a project manager for more than 15 years and take pride in finding efficient solutions to the more challenging jobs. I was one of the first to begin using Global Positioning System equipment on a daily basis in South Carolina and the first to begin using laser scanning equipment in New Jersey. And, I am proud to say that Tom and I are now some of the first to implement machine control systems for heavy construction.
